Phlox ‘Jeana’ – Perennial Plant of the Year!

And well deserved I say! This native perennial phlox is a butterfly magnet in my yard, no wonder it won the top spot during the Mt Cuba Botanical Garden trials.

This lovely phlox blooms for weeks in summer with clusters of pink flowers. It is incredibly resistant to the powdery mildew disease many garden phlox suffer from. Growing to about 2 feet wide and up to 4 feet tall, it blooms best in full sun with average soil moisture, but will tolerate some shade.

Plant some of this phlox in your landscape and watch the butterflies flock to it.
